Contact us
Tell us your iPhone model, its iOS version (Settings › General › About) and what happened. A screenshot helps, but please don’t send your CV unless we ask for it. We read every message and aim to reply within two working days.
For privacy requests, such as asking what we hold or asking us to delete it, put “Privacy” in the subject line.
Files and sending
How do I export my CV as a PDF or Word file?
Your general CV (free): in the Record tab, tap the document button at the top right, then Download PDF.
A tailored CV and cover letter (1-month or 3-month plan): open the job in the Jobs tab, finish Check every line, then tap Send. Choose where you’re sending it:
- Recruiter or agency gives a Word (.docx) file, because agencies often reformat CVs. Choose it whenever you want a Word file.
- LinkedIn Easy Apply, a company careers site, a job board or an email to a person give a PDF.
Pick A4 or US Letter, then tap Share to save the files to Files or send them from another app. Files are named with your name and the company, so a recruiter can find them.
During the free week you can make CVs and letters and see them; exporting and sending start with your plan.
How do I apply by email?
On the Send screen, choose Email to a person, type their email address and tap Write the email. It opens in your own Mail account with the files attached. When Mail confirms it was sent, Sivio records the application.
If Mail isn’t set up on your iPhone, use Share to send it from another app, then tap I’ve sent it.
Sivio says my record changed since the CV was checked
Before sending, Sivio checks the CV and letter against your record again. If you edited a fact they use, go back to Check every line (or open Cover letter) and keep, edit or rewrite the lines it lists.
Plans and payment
What’s free, and what needs a plan?
Always free: your record, the application tracker, your general CV as a PDF, and reading your first 3 job ads against your record.
The free week (the start of the 1-month plan, once per Apple ID) lets you make 5 tailored CVs or cover letters and see them. The 1-month plan gives 12 a month and the 3-month plan 48 every 3 months, with exporting and sending.
A tailored CV or a cover letter for one job ad counts once, with two rewrites of it included. Unused ones don’t carry over.
How do I cancel or manage my subscription?
In Sivio: in the Record tab, tap Settings (the gear), then Manage or cancel.
Or on your iPhone: Settings › your name › Subscriptions, tap Sivio, then Cancel Subscription. Apple’s guide: Cancel a subscription from Apple.
To avoid the next charge, cancel at least 24 hours before the free week or the current period ends. Deleting the app doesn’t cancel a subscription. Your record, tracker and general CV stay free after you cancel.
How do I get a refund?
Apple takes all payments for Sivio, so only Apple can give a refund. Sign in at reportaproblem.apple.com and choose Request a refund. Apple’s guide: Request a refund for apps or content that you bought from Apple.
How do I restore my purchases?
Make sure your iPhone is signed in with the Apple ID you used to subscribe. In the Record tab, tap Settings (the gear), then Restore purchases. The same button is on the plan screen. This also works on a new iPhone.
Why can’t I start the free week again?
The free week is an introductory offer, and Apple allows it once per Apple ID. If it has been used, the plan screen says so and shows the plans.
Your data and iCloud
How do I delete all my data?
In the Record tab, tap Settings (the gear), then Erase everything. It removes your record, applications, saved job ads and kept files from this iPhone and, if iCloud sync is on, from iCloud. It can’t be undone, so download a backup first if you might want it later.
Erasing doesn’t cancel a subscription, and it doesn’t delete backup files you saved elsewhere. Our server keeps no text of yours; what it does keep is explained in the privacy policy.
How do I back up my record, or move to a new iPhone?
With iCloud sync on: sign in with the same Apple ID on the new iPhone and open Sivio. Your record downloads from your iCloud.
Without iCloud: in Settings › Download my record, save the file (“My record.json”) somewhere safe, for example in Files. On the new iPhone, open Settings › Restore from a backup and pick that file. Restoring replaces what’s on the phone; with iCloud sync on, it adds only what the backup has that iCloud doesn’t.
The backup file isn’t encrypted by Sivio. Keep it private.
How does iCloud work in Sivio?
When you’re signed in to iCloud, Sivio keeps a copy of your record, applications, saved jobs, photo and sent files in your own private iCloud database. We can’t read it, and it counts towards your iCloud storage. Settings shows “Synced” and when.
- If you’re signed out, or your iCloud is full, Sivio keeps working on the phone and sync waits.
- If you erase everything on another device, or switch to another iCloud account, sync pauses and asks before going on.
- If two iPhones each had their own record before sync was turned on, both records’ items are kept, so you may need to delete duplicates by hand.
To stop syncing, turn Sivio off in Settings › your name › iCloud on your iPhone. Everything stays on the phone.
Can I use Sivio without the AI?
Yes. Choose “Not now, I’ll type it in myself” on the screen “Before anything leaves this phone”, or switch off Let the AI read my CVs and job ads in Settings. You can still type your record, make your general CV and track applications. Reading CVs and job ads, and tailoring, need the AI.
What is sent to the AI? Is my CV used to train it?
Only when you ask: the text of CVs you add (with your email, phone number and links taken out on the phone first), your work record, and the job ads and answers you add. It goes through our server, which doesn’t keep it, to Anthropic’s Claude. Anthropic doesn’t use it to train its models, and deletes it within 30 days except in the cases its policy lists. Details in the privacy policy.
Using Sivio
Which CV files can Sivio read?
PDF, Word (.docx), a photo of a printed CV, and the PDF LinkedIn makes from your profile on a computer. Older Word (.doc) and Pages files can’t be read: save them as PDF or .docx first.
Which languages does Sivio write in?
English, for now, whatever the language of the ad or of your CVs. The check that compares each line with your record only understands English, so writing in other languages could let mistakes through. If an ad is in another language, the ad screen says so.
A tailored line doesn’t look right
On Check every line, each line shows the fact it came from, and new words are highlighted. Choose Keep, Edit or Use original. If the fact itself is wrong, correct it in your record; the CV is checked against it again before you send.
Why are screenshots of my CV blank?
To protect your documents, previews of CVs and letters are left out of screenshots and screen recordings. The files you export are yours to share as you like.
Will Sivio get my CV through applicant tracking systems (ATS)?
Nobody can honestly promise that, and Sivio doesn’t. It writes in the ad’s words from your real facts and gives you clean PDF or Word files; what happens next is up to each employer and its systems. See the terms of use.
